I’ve been an architect and an organic gardener for over 20 years. In my designs I create spaces that  nurture and empower us. After all, we spend so much of our time inside in our schools, offices, and homes that they should be inspiring.

I’m in awe of nature and how it can positively affect our lives. In my designs I use natural materials and color as key elements.  They’re gorgeous, low  maintenance,  and reconnect us to the world outside. And the benefits of nature and natural materials are scientifically proven to enhance our lives. Global Gardens watermelon peperomia round-crop.pngWhen I discovered kokedama (moss ball gardens) I was smitten. I went out the next day and bought all the materials to make my own version of this ancient Japanese art form. At that time I never dreamed it would become a business. But here I am 5 years later and I’ve found this is an extension of my mission to bring nature in to our lives. I call them my starter kit for a healthy home.  The power of one small plant is amazing. And who hasn’t dreamed of having a garden?!

Global Gardens solved the problem of my cat nibbling on my plants. They hang completely out of her reach. And since they take such a small space, they keep your counters and floors clear. For urban dwellers with small spaces, they’re the perfect solution. And many of my clients don’t like to get their hands dirty, but they want the greenery of live plants. Voilà, Global Gardens come complete, just hang them up and keep your manicure intact. And as a gift, Global Gardens living sculptures just keep on giving.
